Master Planner
Key responsibilities:
- Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with Sales, Project Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Field Service and MRO (Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul) department.
- Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve company targets.
- Establish the master plan and weekly production plan for the company by converting demand (Sales forecast, customer orders, etc.) into a feasible production plan to ensure matched sets of materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of timely customer projects execution.
- Prepare inter-departmental master plan that ensure correct plan execution for all stakeholders and departments involved such as MRO, FSM, PM, SC.
- Establish, measure, monitor and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules, determine available capacity before planned orders are released.
- Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting.
- Collaborates with purchasing to periodically compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and communicate additional supplies needed.
- Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, Project management, production, MRO and Supply Chain.
- Assists with capacity requirements during the annual operating plan.
- Plans/recommends changes in capacity to hit target levels.
- Thorough and in-depth knowledge of ERP Systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Good Latvian and English language skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems to support Production and capacity planning, MRP.
- Previous experience as Production Planner, Material Planner, S&OP coordinator.
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data
- Be capable of utilizing spreadsheet and ERP software in managing the planning process.
- Proven organizational, project management and leadership skills.
- Change Agent – skill with enabling change and strong influencing abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Team player; able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction.
- Thorough understanding of operations and supply chain logistics.
