In this role, you will work with international companies to assess and maintain their IT General Controls (ITGC) frameworks in line with SOX regulations (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), a mandatory requirement for all U.S.-listed organisations to ensure transparency and prevent financial fraud. You will be responsible for testing IT controls, such as access management, program change management, application controls, password management and IT operations. The role involves gathering evidence from clients and verifying that their IT processes align with SOX standards and leading practices. Youll work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and control owners to ensure compliance, resolve issues, and continuously improve IT governance.

•     Analyse and select appropriate IT controls for testing, determining the right testing periods and sample sizes to ensure accurate results,

•     Gather and verify IT control evidence, ensuring it aligns with the compliance framework and supports the integrity of IT operations,

•     Perform ITGC testing in areas like access management, change management, and IT operations to ensure SOX compliance,

•     Collaborate with IT control owners and external auditors to resolve discrepancies and address risks before they escalate,

•     Redesigning IT controls as needed, optimising them for future use and ensuring they meet compliance requirements,

•     Communicate effectively with control owners, clearly defining data needs and expectations related to IT controls,

•     Identify and close gaps in IT risk management, designing controls to prevent future issues and improve system resilience,

•     Providing guidance and oversight to junior colleagues, including reviewing their work related to internal control;

•     Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Technology, Computer Science, or a related field,

•     Experience in IT audit, IT risk management, or IT controls testing, ideally within a multinational environment,

•     Familiarity with SOX compliance, ITGC frameworks, and best practices for IT governance would be considered as an advantage,

•     Professional certifications like CISA, CISM, or ITIL would be considered as an advantage;

•     Proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, SAP S4/HANA, Oracle), and audit tools would be considered as an advantage,

•     Knowledge of IT systems audit and application-level control testing,

•     Strong data analysis skills and experience with ITGC audit sampling techniques;

•     Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher),

•     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-cultural collaboration with different stakeholders, including control owners and external auditors,

•     Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to apply logic at every step and recognise patterns ,

•     Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and onsite work in primarily Sweden;
