In this position, you will advise Luminors business and support lines on various initiatives and projects, oversee compliance risk management, provide independent assessments, and recommend measures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. As part of the second line of defense, you will independently advise, monitor, assess, challenge, and report on regulatory compliance risk management. You will closely collaborate with different stakeholders across Luminor on diverse and exciting initiatives, evaluating existing processes and controls, then offering recommendations for their improvement in line with supervisory expectations.

What You Will Do:
- Contribute to regulatory compliance by conducting independent compliance risk assessments and providing advisory, assurance, and awareness activities
- Assess and oversee compliance risk management in the first line
- Analyze the regulatory environment, trends, and supervisory expectations to ensure proper risk management
- Provide advice on regulatory requirements, redesigning frameworks, processes, and controls for optimal effectiveness
- Monitor external and internal regulatory compliance and follow up on remediation actions
- Oversee various regulatory projects within your area of expertise
- Conduct trainings and awareness sessions on regulatory requirements across Luminor
- Offer insights, support, and guidance to Luminors management bodies, contributing to independent compliance risk reporting
What We Expect:
- Masters degree in law is highly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance (work experience in a banks compliance or legal function would be seen as an advantage)
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the European and local regulations pertaining to regulatory compliance and experience in their implementation
- Professional compliance certifications (ICA, or similar) would be seen as an advantage
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to effectively communicate information to audiences with varying levels of knowledge and expertise
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to think outside-the-box, view the wider organizational risk picture and how different risks interconnect with one another
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a pan-Baltic level
- Fluent English and Latvian languages are required in spoken and written communication due to working on a Pan-Baltic level
