Requirements for candidates

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international or multi-entity environment
Experience with payroll processing for small team of 5 in Latvia is required.
Working knowledge of VAT, EDS, and Latvian tax reporting requirements
Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software
Fluency in Latvian and strong English skills (written and spoken) are required

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Verify supplier invoices and prepare payments
Compile and submit import declarations (EDS system IMP)
Process full-cycle payroll: calculate salaries, maintain monthly salary tax book, track sick leave, input data into payroll software, submit employer reports, and remit taxes
Submit monthly VAT returns, Intrastat reports, and EEC sales lists
Report Bank of Latvia statistics if receiving foreign account payments
Provide documentation to external auditors for annual audits and tax filings
Complete government census and economic surveys as required
Coordinate and support any bank audits, including documentation and follow-ups

What we offer

Compensation & Work Environment

Pay range: €2,000 €2,500/month based on qualifications and experience
Standard work hours: 9:0018:00, Monday-Friday Flexible
Remote within Latvia, with flexibility depending on company policy
Reports directly to the TMB Global Accounting Manager based in the United Kingdom
