At Lavazza Baltics we work with Lavazza Italys premium coffee no. 1 and Denmarks most famous coffee brand, Merrild. We are market leaders in the retail sector and want to maintain and develop this position.
We are seeking a Sales Director to secure both the long-term and annual sales and gross profit goals of the company. You will develop, guide, and manage retail sales of the company directly and through dedicated coworkers meet the targets of pricing, distribution, product range, display quality, trade terms, investments, activities. Additionally, you build our reputation as the top coffee supplier by managing the sales team professionally and inclusively.
The position will be located in our office in Riga and you will report to the Business Unit Director for Baltics, Sweden & Finland.
Your Responsibilities
- Sales strategy development: Develop, align, and implement sales strategies to fulfill company objectives in the long term and short term.
- Team management: Build and maintain a motivated, skilled and professional sales team, including coaching and managing to meet budgeted gross profit by brand, country and customer
- Retail sales management: Achieve distribution and display targets by customer and meet the goals in the annual Customer Business Plans
- Control budgets and solve issues and ensure accurate volume forecasts
- Align and communicate activity programs with marketing, coworkers and customers
- Supervise the supply chain process and resolve customer-related issues
- Marketing collaboration: Provide the Marketing teams with ideas and opportunities to attract retail customers and engage the team to deliver and implement initiatives
- External partnership management: Ensure service providers and external partners meet agreed distribution and quality KPIs, activities and display targets
- Competitor management: Monitor, report and recommend actions on competitor activities
- Data and process management: Manage data and processes transparently and oversee issue-solving processes with customers
Qualifications
- University degree and a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in FMCG sales
- Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgement, creativity and attention to details
- Effective planning and organizational abilities, including effective time management, prioritization, delegation and self-directed work planning
- Skilled in motivating teams to reach their goals effectively
- Highly developed social skills, encompassing persuasion, awareness of social dynamics, sensitivity, and understanding of others
- Able to take initiative, act decisively and implement actions: being a productive team member who understands their role and contributes effectively
- Documented record of demonstrated results
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in negotiation and sales techniques
- Refined analytical capabilities that support the analysis of situations, leading to informed decisions and the execution of solutions either alone or collaboratively
- Knowledge of Category Management
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English, and fluent Latvian language abilities
- Valid drivers license
