KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Configure, upgrade, administer, monitor, and maintain complex database systems.
• Evaluate database server integrity and security.
• Develop and implement database standards and infrastructure.
• Monitor system health and replication, database storage allocation and planning.
• Ensure database performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
• Provide database support for software application development.
• Conduct performance tuning, develop backup and recovery scenarios.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR CANDIDATES:
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse or similar stack.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing and debugging complex SQL queries.
• Skilled in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot database issues.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and best practices.
• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks concurrently.
• Solid understanding of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity.
DESIRABLE SKILLS FOR CANDIDATES:
• Experience with Apache NiFi or similar data flow management tools.
• Knowledge and experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Couchbase.
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for automating tasks.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of columnstore DBMS similar to ClickHouse, such as Redshift or Snowflake.
• Knowledge and experience of data warehousing solutions.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools.
• Experience with Extract, Transform, Load processes and tools.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy standards.
