💻 About the role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead and optimise our operational functions across Mapon’s 8 global branches. With regular travel and site visits, you are responsible for ensuring operational excellence within Mapon’s Customer Support, Technician and Warehouse teams, in all international branches: with a strong focus on cost control, lean methodologies and project management.
📋 Key Responsibilities
Global Operational & Cost Management Leadership
- Own Mapon’s Customer Support, Technician, and Warehouse management: strategy, budgeting, monitoring and cost-control, and analysis to support continued international growth.
- Lead a team of nearly 50 professionals across Europe, and report progress on a regular basis to both the wider Mapon company, and the Management Team.
- Develop and maintain cost-efficiency KPIs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
- Standardise operational processes across all global branches.
- Ensure operational compliance with local and EU regulations, as well as company policies.
- Lead and mentor Customer Support, Technician and Warehouse team of 50 professionals, as well as manage outsourced partners across 8 global branches.
- Ensure lean methodology is applied to all 3 departments: oversee and upgrade internal systems for all 3.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee warehouse operations across all global Mapon branches.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking, stock optimisation, and asset control.
- Improve logistics, procurement, and distribution processes, coordinating with supply chain and procurement partners.
- Maintain and develop supplier, distributor and external contractor relationships.
- Implement best practices for hardware handling.
Customer Support Management
- Lead global customer support teams, across all tiers.
- Lead the adoption of ai-tools and processes to improve the efficiency and lower the resource profile of the Customer Support function within Mapon.
- Define and track support KPIs (response time, resolution time, CSAT, SLA compliance).
- Improve customer experience through process optimisation and hands-on leadership.
- Ensure consistent service standards across global Mapon branches.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Account Management and Marketing teams to resolve systemic issues, and deliver industry-best customer experiences.
Technician Management
- Oversee internal and external technician teams across all global Mapon branches.
- Standardise technician workflows, training, and performance metrics: leading the adoption of monitoring and workflow-optimisation technology.
- Ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
- Monitor quality of installations and technical service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in field operations.

We’re looking for someone with a strong combination of lean methodologies, cost-control, strategic vision, and hands-on operational experience. This role is vital to Mapon’s continued expansion over the next 5 years.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in operations management, preferably in a SaaS, telematics, logistics, or technology-driven company.
- Demonstrated success with lean methodologies.
- Proven experience managing multi-country or global operations.
- Strong background in cost control, budgeting, and operational analytics.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse and inventory management.
- Experience leading customer support and field technician teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus (as company is international, it's needed for the communication with other locations).
