Are you our new Compensation & Benefits Manager?
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Compensation & Benefits Manager to lead and shape the total rewards agenda across our international Group. This is a high-impact global role with broad organizational visibility, requiring both strategic vision and operational excellence.
As the owner of the Group’s compensation and benefits framework, you will drive the design, governance, and continuous evolution of reward structures across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with business priorities, financial sustainability, and market competitiveness. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and the Board Remuneration Committee, you will balance analytical rigor with sound judgment, navigating complexity across diverse regulatory environments and organizational needs.
This role demands deep expertise in global reward strategy, strong financial and analytical capability, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. You will play a critical part in strengthening transparency, engagement, and retention across the organization, while ensuring fairness, compliance, and strategic alignment at every level.
If you are motivated by complexity, ownership, and the opportunity to shape reward practices at Group level, this role offers both scope and impact in equal measure.

So, fasten your seat belt — your next exciting career journey starts here!

In this role you will be responsible for:
•  Lead and manage the Group’s global compensation strategy, frameworks, and policies.
•  Act as the primary contact for reward matters and communicate programs clearly to leaders and employees.
•  Conduct benchmarking, market analysis, compensation surveys, and annual salary review cycles.
•  Partner with HR and business leaders on pay decisions, promotions, and internal equity topics.
•  Drive the annual compensation cycle, including salary reviews, incentives, and reward processes.
•  Oversee global and local benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
•  Design, improve, and administer incentive and recognition programs, including the Employee Share Purchase Program.
•  Provide accurate reward data, analytics, and insights to inform decision-making at leadership level.
•  Select, negotiate, and manage benefits providers, overseeing plan design and renewal processes.
•  Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal governance, and remuneration standards.
•  Support HR transformation initiatives such as job levelling, frameworks, and career pathing.
•  Manage global mobility activities and support the Remuneration Committee with governance and documentation.

Key External Contacts:
Benefit providers, insurance brokers, pension providers, service suppliers, and trade union representatives.

You are our ideal candidate if:
•  You have 10+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards — ideally in a multinational setting.
•  You are highly analytical and confident working with data, surveys, financial modelling, HRIS, and Excel.
•  You bring strong knowledge of job evaluation, levelling, and benchmarking methods.
•  You’ve managed benefits programs across multiple countries.
•  You excel at stakeholder management and balance fairness with business needs.
•  You are pragmatic, handson, and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
•  You communicate complex reward topics in a clear and simple way.
•  You feel energised working in a dynamic and evolving organisation.
•  You speak and write fluent English.

We can offer:
Joining Norwegian means more than just a competitive salary — it’s about being part of a community that values and rewards your contributions.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
  • Competitive salary from 4700 to 5000 eur/gross monthly.

The Norwegian group is a leading Nordic aviation company, headquartered at Fornebu outside Oslo, Norway. The company has over 8,900 employees and owns two of the prominent airlines in the Nordics: Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøes Flyveselskap. Widerøe was acquired by Norwegian in 2024, aiming to facilitate seamless air travel across the two airlines networks.
Norwegian Air Shuttle, the largest Norwegian airline with around 5,400 employees, operates an extensive route network connecting Nordic countries to key European destinations. In 2023, Norwegian carried over 20 million passengers and maintained a fleet of 87 Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Widerøes Flyveselskap, Norways oldest airline, is Scandinavias largest regional carrier. The airline has more than 3,500 employees. Mainly operating the short-runway airports in rural Norway, Widerøe operates several state contract routes (PSO routes) in addition to its own commercial network. In 2023, the airline had 3.3 million passengers and a fleet of 48 aircraft, including 45 Bombardier Dash 8s and three Embraer E190-E2's. Widerøe Ground Handling provides ground handling services at 41 Norwegian airports.
The Norwegian group has sustainability as a key priority and has committed to significantly reducing carbon emissions from its operations. Among numerous initiatives, the most noteworthy is the investment in production and use of fossil-free aviation fuel (SAF). Norwegian strives to become the sustainable choice for its passengers, actively contributing to the transformation of the aviation industry.
