Our client is delivering the Rail Baltica international infrastructure project in Riga and is looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join the team.
This is a key role within a complex engineering environment where structured risk management, data-driven decisions, and proactive mitigation directly contribute to successful delivery of one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region.
If you have solid experience in risk management within major infrastructure or EPC projects and enjoy working where your expertise truly makes an impact - this opportunity is for you.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Leading the identification, assessment, and prioritization of project threats, opportunities, and issues.
• Maintaining clear visibility of risk and opportunity trigger points to support risk cost profiling, timely risk budget allocation, and retirement of risks.
• Using risk data to support project planning and decision-making processes.
• Identifying and recording measurable and specific management responses, including assessment of post-mitigation positions.
• Monitoring overall project risk exposure and evaluating it against the remaining risk budget.
• Proactively managing completion of risk response actions to support achievement of project KPIs.
• Working closely with subcontractors to assess subcontractor-led risks and their interaction with overall project risks.
• Preparing and presenting risk reports in a timely manner to ensure effective communication of risk and opportunity status.
What we expect from you:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of proven experience in roles with responsibilities equivalent to risk management in major projects.
• Demonstrated experience in risk management within large infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured approach, and confidence in working with complex project data.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
What we offer:
• Full-time employment under an EPC contract for the duration of the project.
• Assignment to a long-term, high-value international infrastructure project.
• All necessary work equipment according to company policy.
• Competitive salary: €4,000 – €6,000 gross/month, depending on experience and expertise.
