SIA ASTOR SHIPMANAGEMENT is currently looking for Training Superintendent (Deck Department) for a full-time position in Riga office.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ex Master Mariner and experience in corresponding position
• Good knowledge of current rules and regulations of Maritime field
• Excellent English knowledge, both written and spoken
• Strong sense of responsibility and ethics
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Commitment to work flexible hours and to travel as required by the Company
• Stress tolerance and positive thinking

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To plan, organize and control training processes (Deck department)
• To organize and coordinate training of seagoing personnel (Deck department)
• To maintain regular contact with shore-based training facilities
• To conduct interview with deck officers and deck ratings to evaluate their knowledge and professional skills (assessment of new candidates)
• To monitor performance of potential promoters from deck staff and contribute to their career development within the Company
