Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, select and audit suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN9100) and company requirements.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance using quality metrics, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead supplier non-conformance management, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and proper documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
- Drive supplier development and improvement activities, supporting the use of quality tools such as 8D methodology reduce defects and quality-related costs.
- Participate in mitigation supplier quality risks during supplier selection, changes, and throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Production, R&D, and Process Engineering to ensure supplier quality supports production, compliance, and new product development.
- Ensure quality warehouse material compliance with standards and material work flow within the warehouse and ERP systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanics or electronics).
- Experience and understanding of quality processes.
- Understanding of quality management systems and industry standards.
- Experience with quality methods and statistical analysis.
- High accuracy and sense of responsibility, as well as the ability to work in dynamic conditions.
- Good communication and cooperation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Latvian and English is required.
