SHORT DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Treasury Team Lead to scale our global payment operations. In this role, you will lead a Payment Specialist, oversee end-to-end liquidity management, build solid cash forecasting frameworks, and expand our banking / PSP provider ecosystem.
Working closely with the COO, Head of Finance, Compliance and Customer Billing Teams, you will play a central role in designing an independent cash flows corporate structure, optimizing global fee models, and protecting the business against foreign exchange and crypto market volatility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational Leadership & Documentation
- People Management: Direct, mentor, and coach Payment Specialist to ensure seamless daily operations, error-free payment execution, and professional growth.
- Documentation: Along with Payment Specialist fully map and document end-to-end payment procedures, creating clear step-by-step guides and user handbooks.
- Policy Architecture and Transparency: Elaborate and enforce comprehensive Internal Payment & Treasury Policy covering payment limits, emergency protocols, and approval flows. Serve as the primary bridge to other internal teams ensuring clear operational SLAs, transparent payment statuses, and predictable resolution paths for cross-departmental queries.
2. Cash Flow Management and Architecture
- Cash Management: Control updates of weekly cash flow model.
- Framework Development: Build and deploy a modern, scalable cash flow model designed around business model, transactional flows, and settlement cycles.
- Group Cash Strategy: Collaborate with the Head of Finance and COO to structure strategic intercompany payments distribution schemes across group entities.
3. Banking Infrastructure, PSP Onboarding
- Provider Expansion: Manage end-to-end onboarding and relationship management for new bank accounts, EMIs, and PSPs.
- Commercial Negotiations: Evaluate, compare, and negotiate competitive pricing, processing terms, and operational conditions for new and existing payment solutions.
- Cross-Functional Compliance Partnership: Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to pass partner KYC/KYB reviews, satisfy regulatory requirements, and ensure swift onboarding.
- Incoming Payment Integrity: Partner with the Customer Billing team to monitor and ensure compliance standards for incoming transactional flows.
4. Cost Optimization & Financial Risk Management
- Fee Structure Refactoring: Audit and refactor banking, processing, and other fees across all partners to minimize the costs.
- FX & Market Risk: Formulate and execute treasury risk-mitigation strategies to protect company margins against sharp fluctuations in fiat currencies and crypto assets.
- Cash allocation: manage capital buffers and safeguard balances.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 4+ years of treasury/payments experience within Fintech, Payments, E-commerce, or iGaming, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or senior operational role.
- Payment Expertise and Compliance: Deep understanding of global banking networks, SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments, cryptocurrency, EMI setups, and PSP integration models.
- Documentation: Proven experience drafting corporate payment policies, SLAs and operational documentation aimed to standard processes for internal users.
- Financial Modeling: Experience in designing custom cash flow models and forecasting frameworks from the scratch.
- FX and Market Risk Knowledge: Practical understanding of foreign exchange risk management, and risks related to cryptocurrency volatility.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach junior team members, communicate with C-level stakeholders, and negotiate effectively with external partners.
