Unimars Group was founded in Riga in August 1994. Since then, we have steadily expanded our branch network and evolved into a diversified maritime holding, broadening the range of marine services we provide.
Today, we are the largest company specializing in ship supply and marine services on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. Our warehouses and offices are located in Riga, Ventspils, Liepaja, Klaipeda and Tallinn. In 2014, the company opened a warehouse and office in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands), significantly expanding our supply coverage and strengthening our position as a global player in the marine services market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies and manage the following product categories: provisions, technical supplies, safety equipment, navigation equipment, anchors and chains; conduct in-depth analysis of complex categories.
- Regularly assess procurement processes across the Group's subsidiaries and prepare the relevant reports.
- Optimize procurement processes among the companies within the holding: establish mechanisms for using intragroup stock balances, control inventory and eliminate cascading internal mark-ups.
- Manage strategic suppliers, understand pricing policies, monitor deliveries and assess risks.
- Understand and manage processes across every stage of the procurement cycle.
- Develop and monitor procurement KPIs, including savings, price benchmarks, lead times, slow- and non-moving inventory, the share of intragroup supply and the impact on turnover.
- Collaborate internationally within the holding and work closely with the Finance and IT departments.
Candidate Profile
- Proven procurement experience at group level or within a multi-entity organization.
- Experience in category strategy and the analysis of complex product groups.
- Experience managing a complex product range of 10,000+ SKUs.
- A strong understanding of end-to-end supply processes.
- An analytical and engineering mindset, experience working in cross-functional teams and a track record of international collaboration.
- An understanding of ship supply is a significant advantage, including a technical mindset and an engineering-level understanding of marine systems, equipment functions and their application to different vessel types.
- Knowledge of Latvian, English and Russian, reflecting the geographical scope of the company's client base.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with the 1C ERP system.
- Experience using AI tools to optimize processes.
