Requirements for candidates

Are you an AMRLO Expert ready to scale the frontier of digital finance with Kanga Exchange EU in Latvia?

We are expanding! Having successfully secured our license, Kanga Exchange EU is now scaling its operations in Latvia. We operate at the cutting edge of technology, delving deeply into the dynamic world of cryptocurrency and MiCA regulations.

We are seeking an experienced Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer (AMRLO) to take the reins of our compliance operations on-site. In this role, you will lead our expansion, working in close, daily cooperation with our central AML department and the dedicated local team.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the Latvian capital, Riga. You will act as the strategic bridge between our innovative fintech hub and the Latvian regulators and market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assuming responsibility for our AML/CFT framework
  • Now that the licensing phase is complete, and driving the scaling of our local AML framework and operations.
  • Managing direct relationships and communications with the Bank of Latvia (Latvijas Banka) and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FID).

We would like to hear from you if:

  • You have proven experience in a prior AMRLO or closely related compliance role within a regulated sector, ideally with a background in Web3 / Cryptocurrency.
  • Higher Education Degree.
  • Familiarity with the Latvian regulatory landscape, including deep knowledge of the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism and Proliferation Financing, CASP requirements, and Bank of Latvia standards.
  • Skills to navigate the regulator environment with confidence, acting as the official contact person for supervision and communication.
  • You currently reside in Latvia. This is a hybrid role based in Riga, meaning your physical presence is a practical necessity for local team collaboration and face-to-face meetings with the regulators.
  • Fluent level of Latvian (allowing you to interpret local legislation and communicate effectively with regulators) and fluent English (for internal global collaboration with different teams).
  • Clean criminal record and a high sense of personal responsibility — essential in a role that handles the safety of a global fintech hub.

What we offer:

  • Contract: Full-time employment contract with a 3-month probation period.
  • Competitive Salary: A fixed monthly salary.
Gross Monthly Salary between: €3,700 – €5,400 (depending on your seniority, experience etc.)
Expected Net Take-Home Pay between: €2,750 – €3,750.
  • Flexible Workspace: A hybrid work model (Riga office).
  • Culture: A flat organizational structure combined with specialized, individual processes within our departments. No corporate bureaucracy – we value agility and direct impact.
  • In this role, you will have direct access to technical assistance, including support from a dedicated cryptocurrency technical analyst. You can also rely on comprehensive legal backing, including an external law firm based in Latvia with which we have a cooperation.

Ready to take the next step in your career and steer our compliance operations to the next level? Send us your CV and let’s discuss how we can work together.
